Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What surfaces does the 6" vacuum suction cup work on?
A: The vacuum suction cup is designed to adhere to flat or gently curved, smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass panels, car windshields, mirrors, ceramic tiles, and polished metal surfaces. It is not recommended for rough, porous, or heavily textured surfaces.
Q: How do I know when the suction cup has a strong enough hold?
A: The cup features a built-in red-line vacuum indicator. When the red warning line is no longer visible inside the indicator window after pumping the blue plunger, the vacuum seal is secure and the cup is ready to bear load safely.
Q: Can the suction cup be re-attached after it has been released?
A: Yes. The check valve design allows you to clean the rubber pad, reposition the cup on a clean surface, and re-pump to establish a new vacuum seal. For best results, ensure both the rubber pad and the target surface are clean and dry before re-attaching.
Q: What is the M6 threaded stud used for?
A: The M6 threaded stud on top of the suction cup mount allows you to connect standard M6-compatible accessories such as handles, rods, lamp holders, or other fixtures, making it versatile for both automotive repair tasks and general glass or panel mounting applications.
