Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of fishing is this bird teaser trolling lure best suited for?

A: This 5-inch bird teaser lure is designed specifically for deep sea and offshore trolling. It works exceptionally well when targeting large pelagic species such as marlin, tuna, wahoo, and mahi-mahi. It is typically used as part of a bait chain or teaser spread to attract fish to your main baits or lures.

Q: How do I use a bird teaser lure in a trolling setup?

A: Bird teaser lures are rigged in front of your main bait or lure on a teaser chain or daisy chain rig. When trolled at speed, the bird's wings cause it to skip and splash across the water surface, creating a commotion that mimics a school of fleeing baitfish and draws big game predators to the spread. Simply attach it inline ahead of your hook bait and troll at your usual offshore speed.

Q: Is this lure suitable for saltwater use?

A: Yes. The lure is constructed from durable polypropylene (PP), which is resistant to saltwater corrosion and built to withstand the rigors of repeated offshore trolling use.

Q: What is the size of this bird teaser lure?

A: This bird teaser trolling lure measures 5 inches, approximately 13cm in length. This is an ideal size for attracting large pelagic game fish during deep sea trolling sessions.
